The reason to stay open minded with windows

Thanks for the info Galen

Here is what I have found out: Windows 7  "professional" has an XP mode. Imagine that! They are mimicking the greatest OS they ever had because of users  wailing and gnashing their teeth. That was all I needed. I just ordered a new Dell with hot-rod specs and 7 professional. I will "slowly" move towards it by popping in and out of OSs and see what happens.

I am much more than happy that I got to bypass Vista as are hundreds of thousands like me. XP OS handled a choked 32 bit bus. All computers since the Pentium have been capable of running 64 bit programs but no one was writing for them. Which begs the question.. how does a 64 bit OS narrow word flow? can they still use 32? I mean exactly half the 64 bit word? They have to stack check sums or something... If you know tell me.
