On Polar Bears

The northern ice cap is shrinking making it harder for Polar Bears to survive.

Remember this picture?  Bear and her cub out at sea alone on a shrinking ice flow. How sad. Or should I say how stupid? The bear and cub are just relaxing after a swim.... they can swim almost indefinitely covering 50 miles per day or more. In fact this image was captured from a tour boat just a few miles from the ice-shore. The alarmists are full of this kinda crap. And I tell you what, they have pushed away a lot of thinking people when they come up with tricks like this (I count myself as one before evening wine). It has taken me the better part of ten years and avid reading to come to the conclusion that the scientist who are not alarmists are right. The globe is warming. I count even more sane people like  Bjorn Lomborg who has written most intelligently on the subject.

The globe is warming and nobody knows how much over what time. But it cannot be reversed no matter what man does so it is not important who/what caused it. Just forget about converting everyone to green... it still wont help. One can only prepare for the changes and if you are a small government person step aside... this will be a big government job all over the  world. Relocation inland from coastal regions being the primary job along with dikes and sea-walls. Re establishing agrarian geography... where will things best grow now? Water distribution.. who knows where it will come from? will the sierra snow pack melt leaving LA dry? These are not alarmist rants. If the earth keeps warming (and there is nothing to make me think it wont) these problems will have to be addressed.

So count me as a believer in global warming and give me one more high five in my effort to prove that the media is the right arm of anarchy. Read enough and you will see.

PS always challenge authority, remain skeptical , and be not afraid to change your mind.
