Hi Joyce.
Since I already had the garden images here I'll do a little updating.
What we did was to plumb a base set of blocks on a pea gravel base using a string and spirit level.
Then we used a slurry of Portland cement and contractor's cement glue... I cant give you a recipe.. just mix portland and water and glue.
Now all you have to do is trowel some on the top layer and set the next layer. You dont have to be a masonry expert and put just exactly the right amount of goop. Just enough for contact and they glue it all together.
Then we filled in the cracks with more slurry to make it leak proof.
Hope the image makes sense... post again in the gardeners
forum if you like.

PS depending on your soil drainage you may or may not want to seal the bottom row. I dont know yet.
