Oh wait.... we already ARE a socialist nation... I forgot.
Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment Insurance... on and on. We already spend more on social welfare than at any time in our history and more than any other nation on earth today. Also we redistribute the wealth of the rich. How can we be more socialist than that?
The media however will frighten you into thinking something scary lurks when you shut out the lights. They love to scare you. They don't think you will ever turn the light back on.
